Dear Golf Community,
we have received several questions about how points are earned in the team ranking — so here is a quick explanation!
In each individual tournament, the top members by score contribute points to the team ranking. The remaining members do not count in that particular tournament, but may contribute in others. This is evaluated fresh per tournament — it is not based on an overall lifetime ranking.
Current values (test phase): teams can have up to 15 members, and the top 5 members per tournament count towards the team score. We deliberately started with smaller values — if anything changes, it will more likely be an increase than a decrease. We are still actively working on the balancing.
This means: the more active players a team has competing in tournaments, the better the chances that the scoring slots are filled with strong results. So it pays off to play regularly!
Note: the previous version included a visual indicator in the team member list intended to show which players are currently contributing to the team score. Unfortunately this display was incorrect and has been removed. Additionally, the team size limit was not enforced at launch — this has since been corrected. We are working on a better solution that will clearly show how many points each team member has earned for the team — stay tuned!
You can find more details in our updated FAQ. As always, we look forward to your feedback.
