Dear Golf Community,
in our news of October 28 we promised a lot for early November – here it is. Since this week, the following features are live in the game and on the website.
Records – leaderboards for every level
The new Records tab is open to everyone. So that you compete with players at your own level, there are three classes: Rookie (level 1 to 9), Challenger (level 10 to 29) and Pro (level 30). The lists cover birdies, putting, the longest drive, the best round on selected courses and more. New weekly lists start every week – win one and you earn a weekly title. 30-day lists show who stays on top over a longer stretch, and you always see where you stand yourself.
Community – friends and private messages
The Community tab brings you closer to the other players:
- Friends via friend requests – you see who is online, in the lobby or in a round, and on which hole.
- Private messages between friends, and you can invite friends straight to your round.
- Online and Search help you find players, and you can block players who bother you.
Since yesterday the Community tab also has a new look in the brass style of the game.
Your player file – your whole career
At the top of your friends list you now find the line You. One click opens your own player file. Under Statistics it shows your tournament wins over your entire OGC career, your season titles in the world, region and course rankings, your podium places and your course bests – your best round on every course. Distances follow the unit you chose in the settings.
On the website: yards or meters, and who equalled a record
- Yards or meters: At the top of every page, next to the language menu, a second menu switches all lengths between yards and meters – independently of the language. Your browser remembers your choice.
- Who equalled the record: Every course page now shows how many players have equalled its all-time record, and under Who equalled it their names with the date they first reached it. Until now the number counted seasons, not players – the new list is more accurate and does justice to everyone who played the record score. Thanks to the players who suggested it!
As always, your feedback and ideas are very welcome – several of the features above started as your suggestions. Enjoy the Christmas Season!
