Team update: 30 members, inactivity indicator and a new leader rule

Play now

Dear Golf Community,
the test phase for the team feature is officially over – a big thank you to everyone who played, tested and shared their feedback with us! Your input went straight into our decision. This update brings three changes around teams.

1. Teams can now have up to 30 members. The number of players who contribute points to the team ranking per tournament remains limited to the top 5 members – this keeps the scoring fair and lets smaller teams stay competitive. The larger team size brings two benefits: you get more room for friends and new players, and players who cannot make time to play for a while carry less weight. In a bigger team the 5 scoring slots can still be filled well even when not everyone is active.

2. Inactive leaders become members after 2 months. Team leaders who have not played for more than 2 months are automatically demoted to regular member by the system, and an active member takes over leadership. This threshold used to be 3 months. That way a team stays able to act even when its founders take a longer break – and nobody loses their place in the team.

3. New inactivity indicator in the member list. In the team overview (My Teams) you can now see at a glance who is currently active: members who have not played for more than one week are marked accordingly. This makes it much easier for a team to judge how many players will realistically contribute to the next tournament scoring.

We hope this is a good solution for everyone – for small, well-coordinated teams just as much as for large, growing communities.

You can find more details in our updated FAQ. As always, we welcome your feedback.
