Dear Golf Community,
the Fall Season is entering its final days – time to look ahead. In early November we are bringing two new features we have been working on over the past weeks. And we already want to tell you what we are working on after that.
Early November: the new website
ogcopen.com gets a new look. The home page shows the running tournaments live with their leaderboard, plus a ticker with the leaders of every tournament. Every course gets its own page with hole maps, alongside the world ranking, the Hall of Fame and the FAQ – in English and German, on your computer as well as on your phone.
Early November: the new Records tab
In the game you will find a new Records tab with leaderboards. So that you compete with players at your own level, there are three classes:
- Rookie – level 1 to 9
- Challenger – level 10 to 29
- Pro – level 30
The lists cover birdies, putting, the longest drive and the best round on selected courses, among others. New weekly lists start every week – win one and you earn a weekly title. 30-day lists show who stays on top over a longer stretch. And you can always see where you stand yourself.
Next up: Community, Strokes Gained and more for teams
This is what we are working on next – we will announce a date as soon as it is ready:
- Community: friends via friend requests, seeing who is online right now, and private messages between friends.
- Records – Tour Pros: Next to Rookie, Challenger and Pro, the Records tab gets a fourth level with Strokes Gained, the rating system used by the tour pros. Four weekly lists show how many strokes the pros gain or lose off the tee, on the approach, in the short game and on the green.
- Teams: a dedicated team owner role, and changing teams both ways: teams can invite players who are already in another team, and players can ask to join a team – even while they are still in another one.
As always, your feedback and ideas are very welcome. Good luck to everyone in the last days of the Fall Season!
